Police Department receives Proclamation from Hightstown Borough for "2007 Police Officer of the Year Award "   

Welcome to Hightstown PBA 283 web site!

Our Local was established February 13, 1979

The Hightstown PBA Local #283 is the union of police officers employed by the Hightstown Police Department in Hightstown Borough, New Jersey. As a non-profit labor organization, the PBA is funded by member's dues, donations by Hightstown residents, and fundraising activities conducted on an annual basis.

The Hightstown PBA donates each year for benevolent causes to include scholarship funds, charities, financial assistance to families of fallen or critically ill officers, and for worthy causes that better Hightstown Borough.


We are proud and faithful servants of the wonderful residents of Hightstown and sincerely appreciate the overwhelming support and acts of generosity that we receive.

Hightstown PBA exists to serve all the people within the Borough with respect, fairness, honesty, courage and integrity. The PBA membership is committed to the prevention of crime, protection of life and property,safety, enforcement of laws and ordinances and the safeguarding of constitutional rights and guarantees. We hold ourselves to the highest standards of performance, professional conduct and ethics.

Hightstown Police K-9 Dog graduates from his first 18 week training school. His first assignment the Christina Walsh Foundation Family Fun Day at the Hightstown High School on May 4th  

Our K-9 Handler Patrolman Frank Marchione gives the audience a demonstration on K-9  Niko's training. Patrolman Dave Chenoweth acts as a suspect wearing a protective bite sleeve. The 200 onlookers watched as Niko worked. After the event parents and kids were able to pet Niko and ask Officer Marchione questions.
